Overview:  Tornpaw is such a caring tom that doesn’t like to see other cats down even if he’s down all of the time. He is always checking in with his peers to make sure they're doing alright. He cares so much for other cats he often doesn’t even care about himself. He has a hard time liking himself with all that he went through, but he would never take that on someone else. Tornpaw is considerate to those around him. He would never hurt others and he tries his best to understand others feelings. He is never one to assume and will try and bring other cats up. He knows that some cats go through things as he went through stuff himself. He wants other cats to see his example and do the same thing. Tornpaw never has trouble forgiving cats. He believes cats should be forgiven if they try to make themselves better. If a cat feels remorse for doing something he believes they deserve forgiveness. If a cat doesn’t learn from their actions he might not be as forgiving. He likes to build trust with cats. Tornpaw is a gracious cat who is a pleasant cat to work with. He takes time in the day to be nice to others over himself. He just has a friendly vibe to him when he’s not in one of his states of depression. Even then he’s the nicest cat you’ll meet. He’s just an apprentice that likes others over himself.

Tornpaw is absent minded tom who forgets things. There are a lot of things he wants to forget, so it's really easy for him to do so. It does affect him most when he’s talking to cats while interacting with his clanmates. Once and a while he’ll forget names or even what rank someone is. He just has trouble remembering some things unless something/someone reminds him. Tornpaw’s often very emotional when it comes to seeing a cat from his past. He’s been through so much he will break down when something reminds him of what he went through. He will completely shut down until he sees another cat feeling down then he will go over to them. He will try to cheer others up, but is unable to cheer himself up. Tornpaw is very self conscious about his looks, so he refuses to look at himself in the reflection of any water. He avoids water altogether. When he has to take a drink he will close his eyes while doing so. Some cats think it’s because of the scars he had gotten so long ago, but it's because everytime he sees himself it reminds him of who he really is. Other cats think of him as a good and generous tom, but he just doesn’t seem to think of himself as such. Tornpaw will often try to seem tough just so others can’t see his pain. He would do anything to make sure  cats aren’t able to see him down. He doesn’t want them to worry about him.

Tornpaw gets depressed way too easily. Most things remind him of his past and they will bring him down. He is always thinking about all the wrongs that have happened to him. When he does become depressed he will often find a cat to talk to without telling them that he’s depressed. He doesn’t want cats thinking he’s weak for showing emotion. Every pawstep Tornpaw takes with caution. He’s been hurt so many times he has a hard time allowing others to see the real him. There aren’t many cats who know about depression and he wants to keep it that way. He is cautious of who he hangs out with and where he goes. He will refuse to go anywhere he or others think of as dangerous. Tornpaw has trouble with losing his confidence. He just gets discouraged quite often and doesn’t show any enthusiasm. He will completely hide from others including his mentor whenever he has episodes of no confidence. Most places he hides are somewhere he knows no cats will go as long as it’s not dangerous. If a cat looks for him at a dangerous location he will come out of hiding to make sure no one gets hurt.

Backstory

Kit: Tornpaw was born to Fernheart and [Father] and two siblings. His life was just perfect he had parents who loved him and each other(or so he thought). They argued a lot whenever him and his siblings. He was always in the middle of their conflict and often tried to hide away in his bedding. His father ended up verbally abusing his mother and he often couldn't stay to watch. Tornpaw's father never showed any violence during so. Well that was until he got angry. He never knew, but his father ended up taking his mother to the outskirts before killing her. he blamed it on some rogue and Tornpaw believed. After what happened his father started getting close to his kits. 

Apprentice: As an apprentice Tornpaw was always trying to make his father proud of him. Still not knowing about what happened to his mother he continued to prove himself to his father. Not soon after his father had taken him out into the territory where they were attacked by a fox. That was when Tornpaw was given the scars over his face. After father saw him being attacked he tried to fight it off, but another one came and they drug him away, killing him. A group of warriors who were headed on patrol saw Tornpaw and brought him back to camp while one went after to find his father. Tornpaw had been stuck in the medicine den for a few moons not able to move or anything. When finding out his father was dead his world shattered. He became depressed for quite some time until his siblings were able to bring him up. His first mentor couldn't stand to see him depressed, so he left him.
